What is Spinal Decompression?

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical, traction-based treatment for herniated or bulging discs in the neck and lower back. During treatment, a specialized table gently stretches the spine, creating negative pressure within the disc.

This negative pressure can help retract bulging or herniated disc material, taking pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine. It also promotes the passage of healing nutrients and fluids into the disc.

Spinal decompression is an excellent alternative to surgery for many patients suffering from disc-related conditions.

How It Works

The decompression table uses computer-controlled traction to gently separate vertebrae. This creates negative intradiscal pressure, which helps retract herniated disc material back into place. The vacuum effect also draws in oxygen, water, and nutrients to promote disc healing and regeneration.
